Dear Age Concern and Help The Aged

 

During the bad weather, cut off by snow for several weeks, I was never without groceries, fresh fruit and vegetables.  Despite being unable to leave the house (I have never had a car), also afraid of slipping on the ice (arthritis).

 

Thanks to The Organic Pantry, St Helen’s Farm, Newton Kyme, Tadcaster, LS24 9LY, Tel. 01937 531 693, which delivers to the Hope Valley every Wednesday, the quality of the produce is excellent, they grow their own where possible (it is all organic).

 

I have no connection with The Organic Pantry apart from being a very satisfied customer for many years now – they deliver to the Derbyshire Bakewell area, a wide area in Derbyshire.

 

Just before Christmas, in deep snow I did not expect a delivery as the roads were icy, conditions horrendous, but Chris, the driver, left the van at Frank’s gate and walked up through deep snow carrying three large boxes of groceries including heavy packets of porridge oats, rice, jars of drinking chocolate, tins of sweetcorn.  Together with the usual mixed fruit and vegetable boxes.

 

I was deeply touched and very impressed by this kindness and concern as I have no family to look after me in such weather conditions.

 

Organic Pantry are a small, helpful, friendly family business.  I would suggest their details are circulated to all the Help The Aged and Age Concern groups in the Derbyshire area (delivery Wednesday).
