HONEY BEE’S

I am delighted to have our first Hive on the farm, and hopefully as long as they like us we will have a couple of hives producing Honey. But more importantly these Bees are essential for the pollination of the crops and fruit trees.

The Bee population is on a serious decline, due to cold winters and a mite. But the latest challenge they face is a Hornet that is making it’s way across Europe from the Far East, which destroying hives.

Bees are so important to the production of food,  if we loose the Bees we will not have our crops and trees pollinated.

Hopefully we can do our bit to help.
