Brusell Sprouts Gratin
Ingredients
1tbsp butter
2/3 cup whipping cream
2/3 cup milk
25gm grated parmesan cheese
675 gm Brussel sprouts finely chopped
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Preheat the oven to 150C/300F/gas 2 and butter a shallow ovenproof dish. Blend together the cream, milk, Parmesan cheese and seasoning.
Put a layer of Brussel sprouts in the base of the prepared dish, sprinkle with a little garlic and pour over about a quarter of the cream mixture. Add another layer of sprouts and continue building layers in this way, ending with the remaining cream and milk.
Cover loosely with greaseproof paper and then bake for 1-1 1/4 hours. Halfway through cooking, remove the paper and press the sprouts under the liquid in the dish. Return to the oven to brown
