Out on the farm-july 2010
OUT ON THE FARM
Planting is nearly finished with just the over wintered Cauliflowers and Broccoli to go in. Weeding is now taking centre stage with hand hoeing of the squashes.
You will see we have started picking bunched beetroot, salad onions and we are
lifting our own new potatoes.
In spite of the current concerns over the decrease in number of Kestrels, I can confirm our pair are thriving . Mark are resident Ornothologist feels that the reduction in numbers is due to the increase in other Rapters, thus reducing the
available food and habitat
The rain is very welcome giving the new plants a good start..
