Although winter is nowhere near over it is time for us to start thinking of Spring.  We are busy washing down all the propogation equipment and sheds.  The Polytunnel has been cleared out and rotovated ready for planting.  I'm ordering the seed for this season to ensure that we have a consistant harvest of vegetables throughout the year.  We are trying a few new vegetables this year to add more variety.  We are still picknig the overwintered veg - Kale, Savoys, Leeks and Shortly starting will be the purple sprouting and cauliflowers - that we planted last July.

As we said last year at this time, this growing season can't be as bad as last, but it was. This year has to be the year of consistant rain, not the massive downpour of June/July.  The hard weathre of this winter hopefully will have reduced the slug population.  We can only hope!!!!!

Best wishes,

Jonnie
