We generally get our organic pomegranates from Eastern Spain.
Preparing pomegranate can seem a bit of a challenge but don't be put off. The easiest way is to cut the pomegranate is to slice horizontally, hold one half over a bowl and use a wooden spoon to bash out the seeds. These can be added to salads and grain dishes for a sweet Middle Eastern flavour.
Reasons to eat pomegranate:
Rich in antioxidants - will keep you looking young by helping your body mop up damaging free radicals
Protects the liver - research has shown that pomegranate juice can not only help to protect the liver but can actually help to regenerate it
High in polyphenols - these compounds have been shown to help reduce allergic reactions in the body.
