Sprouting seeds and legumes makes all the wonderful nutrients locked within more easily accessible for our bodies. Seed and bean sprouts can give you a healthy doses of Vitamins A, B, C and E, minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron, niacin, potassium & phosphorous all whilst providing a great plant-based source of proteins.
This mixture should take around 3 days to sprout.
Instructions for Use:
Soak overnight in clean water. You need at least double the quantity of water to beans.
Drain off the soaking water and thoroughly rinse all the beans in a sieve under fresh water.
Re-soak the beans in a fresh bowl of water and 12 hours later repeat the rinsing process.
Repeat this for 3-5 days, until you see the beans starting to sprout. You can then rinse off all the water and store the sprouting beans in a fridge to add to salads or sprinkle over cooked dinners.
You can also use this mix as an economical way to eat for the week. Simply soak for 8-12 hours before cooking for around 3 hours in plenty of water. Add a teaspoon of Fenugreek seed t spice things up. You can refrigerate and keep using the beans in all manner of dishes all through the week.
